Temporal Diffeomorphic Free Form Deformation to Quantify Changes Induced by Left and Right Bundle Branch Block and Pacing

چکیده
This paper presents motion and deformation quantification results obtained from synthetic and in vitro phantom data provided by the second cardiac Motion Analysis Challenge at STACOM-MICCAI. We applied the Temporal Di↵eomorphic Free Form Deformation (TDFFD) algorithm to the datasets. This algorithm builds upon a di↵eomorphic version of the FFD, to provide a 3D + t continuous and di↵erentiable transform. The similarity metric includes a comparison between consecutive images, and between a reference and each of the following images. Motion and strain accuracy were evaluated on synthetic 3D ultrasound sequences with known ground truth motion. Experiments were also conducted on in vitro acquisitions.

Right bundle branch block during transvenous ventricular pacing.
Cardiac pacing through a transvenous catheter located in the right ventricle usually produces a pattern of left bundle branch block (LBBB). When right bundle branch block (RBBB) occurs during apparent right ventricular pacing, a complication (perforation or malposition of the catheter) has usually occurred. In the patient reported here, uncomplicated right ventricular transvenous pacing produce...

The influence of right ventricular pacing on left ventricular filling has not been completely clarified. The aim of the study was to analyze the possible alteration in and effects on left ventricular filling resulting from right ventricular pacing. The study population consisted of two groups; group A was comprised of 12 patients with a spontaneous left bundle branch block, and group B had 12 p...
متن کاملThe successful treatment of end stage of heart failure associated with complete right bundle branch block with biventricular pacemaker placement.
Biventricular pacing has been used to treat patients with symptomatic heart failure, systolic left ventricular dysfunction and intraventricular conduction delays. This modality is usually reserved for the treatment of patients with a left bundle branch block pattern on electrocardiogram. We report the successful use of biventricular pacing in a patient with heart failure and a right bundle bran...
متن کاملDetermination of His-Purkinje refractoriness in man with His bundle pacing.
Consistent His bundle pacing was accomplished in one of 60 consecutive patients. Intracardiac electrophysiologic studies in this patient revealed rapid atrioventricular nodal conduction (AH = 55 msec). While the relative refractory period of the His-Purkinje system as a whole determined by His bundle pacing (using the extrastimulus technique) was identical to that determined by atrial pacing, c...
